Hey y’all! Back again with another makeup list! this time; with a list that is way overdue!
The focus: beauty powders!
This list of beauty powders will include a variety of price ranges and brands!
But to make this list shorter?! I’ve included only beauty powders that I’ve purchased more than 5 times.
Disclaimer: Being a professional makeup artist means kit replenishing?! A very real thing (wether hitting pan on products, maybe a shatter accident when traveling & or on set ?) So when i find a product that i love & trust, sticking with it just makes sense so why change it? Ya dig?!
product reviews are always honest & fully independent not sponsored but thus could earn affiliate commissions from purchasing links on this page.
RCMA No Color Powder is an essential in my kit! It’s a product that lives up to its name as it’s actually colorless. Unlike other translucent powders that may have a slight tint of color or possible white cast (flashback) in photography, Unlikely with this powder! RCMA No Color Powder truly remains transparent.
This powder is great for all types of setting, whether it’s under the eyes, all over the face, or even for special effects makeup.
It’s worth notingRCMA Loose Powder is 3oz & typically priced below $25. Pretty amazing when compared to other popular loose powders, which normally provide 1oz from prices ranges of $43 – $100.
There’s times where loose powder isn’t quite adequate, such as on set touch ups & backdrop work to name a few!
But if still looking for a powder that not only sets beautifully & doesn’t change the shade of your prior glam application, no flash back & without the mess of a loose powder?!
*Side note: Working an event in Miami a few years ago, I had the amazing opportunity of meeting & doing touch-ups for the gorgeous Nikkita Dragun. When she asked for a powder to deal with Miami’s unique humidity?! Lol! The glow is real here!
I highly recommended this product after using it on her.
Listen?! There’s many powder foundations in the market! And then there’s MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation! This powder provides full coverage with a matte finish but also a blurred effect that looks stunning in photographs.
This powder sets flawlessly and is a dream to apply.
MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation has an extensive range of shades ranging from the lightest cool/warm hues to the deepest shades.
This powder can be used on its own for a flawless finish, applied over a translucent powder for dimension & coverage. Does amazingly well on camera (even in high-definition settings), MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation never disappoints.
If you’re looking for a powder to set your foundation while maintaining a natural sheer finish; Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Powder is a staple in my kit in which I’ve relied on ever since I could remember lol! Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Powder gives the skin a beautiful satin finish with a subtle radiant glow to the skin.
This powder is sheer coverage with a lightweight feel, but is buildable and does exceptionally great for touch-ups throughout the day and on set!
I personally love using Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Setting Powder for under eye setting as it’s sets beautifully with a hint of color without drying the under eye areas and especially great for touch ups throughout the day!
BOOM! THE END!
I hope you find these must haves list’s helpful & if you do try it out?!?
