(Glam for the “Family Karma” Premier)
Hey everyone! So I’ve been working with Anisha Ramakrishna aka Anish for about 3 if not maybe 4 years now. Every-time I glam her up and or her mom Auntie Chitra, it’s always such good good vibes!! Not only is Anisha beautiful on the outside, inside; she’s gorgeous has amazing energy and is really such a sweet soul. She’s currently a cast member on Bravo TV’s reality show “Family Karma” , founder of “CURRENTLY“ a size inclusive and eco-conscious fashion line and also founder of “No Sharam“.
So, the other day I went over to her place and we had some makeup fun! So funny… backstory: Anish was my last client before the Covid-19 quarantine started here in Miami and also my first client once the Covid-19 quarantine was lifted up. Isn’t that so cool?!?! It’s like were connected… clearly duh ? she’s a Virgo, I’m a Pisces haha what can I say! ? My look was looking bit on the Co-vid side forsureeeeee haha but luckily I have dyed my hair and got a facial since then lol!
Anish doesn’t wear makeup daily so we decided to go for an easy “Daytime Glowly” glam using minimal product and pretty easy to achieve sooooo why not film it right?!? Keep in mind that we are not the norm YouTube bloggers jaja (although I hope to be soon?) this video was done naturally and pretty organically too lol. Kept the steps pretty easy with easy to use products. Following the video below; I have listed in detail all the products used and also good alternatives, just in case you don’t have those handy!

????
(Did you peep the concealer in hair thoooooo.. that’s that real makeup artist life haha!! I’m a mess haaaa!!)
Keep in mind this look pretty simple and easy to do, not too many steps to take and of course if you don’t have these items you can simply use anything similar you have at home!
Although Anish’s skin was clean before starting, I always like to start with her glam with Caudalie Beauty Elixir. Why? Because honestly it’s really like a vacation in a bottle (and I mean who doesn’t want to feel like their on a vacation while getting their makeup done) .
Not only does the toning mist smell great (not too scented nor over powering), it hydrates the skin so nicely, boosts the radiance of the skin, and it also reduces the appearance of pores because it has such great ingredients. Such as peppermint oil (awakens the skin), essential rose oil (hydrate dry skin, clear acne, reduce signs of aging), essential rosemary oil (hydrates the skin, which helps to control oil production) and their special ingredient … GRAPES (for Vitamin C and antioxidants properties) Genius little spray!
Unfortunately, I’ve yet to try anything really like the Caudalie Beauty Elixir. I it think its due to their special ingredient, so the closest thing to that it I would say is also from Caudalie and its the Caudalie Grape Water which is also a toner but without the added essential oils.
Love the product because its light-weight to the touch and applies so thinly and yet does the job. Stila One Step Correct can be used as a primer but its really not considered that, it is a skin corrector that is a great addition of skin prep but can also be used on it own. It includes 3 color correcting shades in one to help neutralize redness & blemishes thanks to the green hint, brightens helps diminish the appearance of sun spots thanks to the peach tone and helps with aid with counteracts sallow deep hues thanks to the lavender tone.
Although some like to use MAC Strobe Cream as a liquid highlighter I like to use it a moisturizer and as a luminous base for the foundation application. Anish has really good skin, there is really no need for direct primer for so I used MAC Strobe Cream as a base and also to aid in the luminous look we were going for. The texture is super nice, creamy and gets absorbed nicely. Leaves behind a super nice glowly cool toned pink undertone sheen to the skin and when applied under foundation or even mixed into your foundation? It will give your foundation a a beautiful natural glow. This product now comes in 4 undertone shades so it can fit just about every skin tone.
(If you’re more on the dry side? Make sure to moisturize well or even add this to your moisturizer)
Tarte Shape Tape Concealer Shade – Tan Sand
A product I truly love and I’m sorry there’s really nothing out there like this product but there is some nice alternatives. I used Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in the shade Tan Sand on Anish so it can help cover and brighten her under eyes without being too light also pro tip: this also helps not bring attention to that area when highlighting in other areas.
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation 6.25 x MAC Studio Fix Fluid NW 25
MAC Pigment Melon
For Anish’s foundation; she likes to use a combo that I hadn’t tried before but I really like it too! Mixed equal parts of Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in shade 6.25 & MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW25 and I added a dash of MAC Pigment in shade “Melon” for added sheen and glow. I love doing this to foundations for a luminous finish.
Essentially mixing any light luminous foundation like the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is and mix in with a satin finish medium coverage foundation you have at home like the MAC Studio Fix Fluid is the combo. If you don’t have any pigments and home; you can use some highlighters by just scrapping some off the top and add it to the combo.
Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick in Almond
To bronze Anish’s face and warm up her tone I went in with a favorite: Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick in Almond . I love using this foundation stick to lightly warm up the skin for a naturally bronze appearance versus contouring which Anish really does not need.

Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops Rose Gold
For some added glow I love using Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops for an extra pop on Anish’s high points on the face and applied with a damp sponge. This product is really amazing for many things now thinking about it…you could totally add this product into your foundation too haha but for an extra pop I recommend using it on it’s own. The drops are liquid but more on a thicker side but not too thick if that makes sense lol and are easily build-able if needed. What is nice too is that it comes in many different shades for all skin tones and even some fun colorful ones too!
NARS Liquid Blush Torrid and Dolce Vita
A blush combo I love using on Anish because it really compliments her skin tone. I like to combine NARS Liquid Blush Torrid and Dolce Vita in equally parts together. I like this combo because Dolce Vita is more on the warm yet cool side and Torrid although its a nice coral shade and can be used on it’s own they both mix very well together.
This blush is so nice and the finish is great! It layers like a dream and how its a liquid blush you really have a super natural finish to the skin.
Unfortunately I’ve yet to see any other makeup brand at least till now that makes liquid blush , aside from blush stains which is something completely different to what this product is.
But they also do sell these shades in compact so if you have them use them forsure!
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder Medium
What a great powder and set’s under-eye concealer like a dream. Anish also loved Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder in shade Medium as its not too light nor too dark. This compact powder is amazing because the texture is quite soft, doesn’t settle into fine lines and brighten without overdoing it. Applied and set basically to everywhere that I applied concealer with a soft dense brush.
This powder really doesn’t have a alternative but any soft setting powder can work well too!
Diorskin Nude Luminizer Shimmering Glow Powder Highlighter in Shade Golden Glow
Love this powder to set Anish’s high points. Diorskin Nude Luminizer Shimmering Glow Powder Highlighter in Shade Golden Glow is beautiful and radiates the ultimate soft gold glow without looking chalky nor glittery! A little goes a long way with this product so i would suggest to start small. The texture is very fine making the application very seamless. Can we worn on its own or can be applied over a liquid/cream highlighter for an extra pop! Diorskin Nude Luminizer Shimmering Glow Powder comes now in 5 shades for all skin tones.

NARS Bronzing Powder Casino
Earlier in the glam, I warmed up Anish’s skin with a darker foundation; I then used NARS Bronzing Powder Casino to set. I like doing because it’s a nice way of setting the bronzed area without dulling it out. With this specific shade? Leaves a beautiful finish without being matte nor too shiny; think satin finish. On the pan the bronzer does have some gold reflects but when applied it does not show. This bronzer is not too warm and not too cool either which is perfect for Anish. For a natural finish I like to apply this bronzer on an large or over-sized brush so it dispenses widely and apply all over lightly but mostly on the areas that the sun naturally would hit (such as the nose, forehead, chin and cheeks).
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick Bark
Making this look extra easy?! Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick makes the application super easy! This eye shadow stick is super pigmented and very creamy but does dries quickly (so work fast). You can use these shadows on their own and you can use them as a shadow base. On Anish I used the shade “Bark” a deep neutral brown that is perfect to blend into the lash line to thicken the lash-line blended out with a nice dense fluffy brush.

L’Oréal Voluminous Original Mascara Carbon Black
I love this mascara, and there’s alot of mascaras in market but is L’Oréal Voluminous Original Mascara Carbon Black. Not only a classic; a stable to my kit and my favorite to personally use. This mascara coats the lashes very well and gives them mega volume but not too heavy like other mascaras that make your lashes droop? Yal’ know what I mean! It also makes the lashes look super long too. I always suggest to curl the lashes for an extra lifted look. There’s many mascara out there so I won’t jump into alternatives but if you haven’t tried it? It’s worth a shot!
Thanks so much for checking this blog out! I hope you enjoyed it and found it useful!
