Hey y’all! back again & this time with some July 2023 Astrological energy updates!
Just a quick heads-up: on this blog, I’ll be chatting about astrological placements based on Vedic/Sidereal astrology, which focuses on the current planetary positions in the sky.
This is not intended to offend followers of Western astrology; just a different perspective ?

Mars is finally leaving it’s not-so-comfy spot in Cancer (a debilitated placement) where it’s been hanging out since May 10th, 2023.
Mars is switching things up & moving into fiery zodiac sign of Leo on July 1st and will remain there until August 18 2023.
The transit of Mars in Cancer could’ve presented some challenges due to the contrasting energies involved.
Mars the warrior; known for it’s assertiveness, strength and combative action in the contrasting environment of Cancer; whew! Cancer is a zodiac which is nurturing, compassionate, and very family-oriented.
The combination of these opposing energies could’ve created some friction & or internal conflicts such as lethargy, brain-fog, scattered thoughts, some slowdowns in movement such car trouble, travel delay’s, accidents with machinery, impulsive actions taken & family-related topics.
Although this energy was collective meaning to all; natives with Aries, Scorpio, Cancer, or Capricorn placements in their Moon, Mars, Rising, or Sun signs, as well as those born of Mrigashira, Chitra, and Dhanishtha nakshatras, might have experienced this a bit further.
It’s important to note that these effects can vary for each native depending on one’s natal chart.
Now… In my belief and on repeat! I don’t believe there are coincidences in the universe ??
If one faced such challenges; there’s always an opportunity to learn & grow from any experience. A real chance for true introspection & to bring forward focus to important matters/topics.
Especially highlighted because Saturn RX in Aquarius aspecting; emphasizing gaining knowledge and wisdom.
There’s tremendous potential to integrate new ideas or revitalize existing ones! Not only towards creative pursuits & business endeavors, but also on a personal level; growth and self improvement!
A great time apply this energy towards transformative actions & building upon the lessons one has learned during Mars in Cancer. ??

I believe these energies could highlight a potential rise in humanitarian topics & humanitarian healing action on a collective level.
Possible of communications on social platforms on these topics from influential figures such as celebrities, social influencers, musicians, and athletes; as it is Leo but we could also see these topics come to a light in politics/law as Saturn is opposing.
This could also lead to an increase of ideas or can bring about scenarios that could centered around environmental sustainability, green practices, efforts to restore degraded ecosystems/water sources, community service, beach clean-ups, food drives, and the involvement of of activism/protests for humanitarian efforts & all species alike.
As Mercury & the Sun will conjunct in Cancer on July 17th – until July 23 aspecting Venus in Leo & could also highlight matters related to love, family, and children.
Could be seen as celebrations, weddings, highlighting travels; be it a vacation or a mini trip , beach outings & or family gatherings that bring smiles and happiness to everyone involved.
This transit could also bring in scenarios to our personal lives & or could be seen collectively which will require a greater level of empathy, compassion and understanding.
As Venus and Mars align in Leo from July 8ish to August 6, 2023!

Leo’s the 5th house; I believe can also be about embracing ones inner child, a chance to nurture romantic connections, and most definitely tapping into one’s artistic talents—whether you’re a musician, dancer, designer, architect, scientist, engineer, lawyer & or etc!.
Astrologically it’s the perfect time to unleash your fiery passion and let your creative vibes flow freely!
Embrace your adventurous side or maybe step out of your comfort zone. Rock your stylish attire, layer up with your favorite fragrances, try out a new lipstick shade, and why not embark on that exciting trip you’ve been dreaming of or even take the leap and move to a whole different location? While this fiery energy can be great; it’s essential to maintain mindfulness and caution regarding possible overindulgence.
There could be a tendency to seek temporary gratification through activities that provide immediate pleasure, such as overeating, excessive shopping, over drinking, intimacy, substance use, and or over exerting excessive energy such as working out & or over working which can be a bit a sign of escapism.
*although I’m not medical professional I would take these as a sign for deep reflection which can lead to deep rooted and or long term solutions.
With the planetary influence of Saturn Rx in the 11th house, finding a sense of balance & applying discernment could be beneficial. Actions lead results.
It’s also important to note while Mars in Leo fiery spirit can definitely boost our self-esteem and make us feel good BUT it could also heighten our egos, leading us to hyper-focus on our own desires, needs and wants.
Look out for selfish behavior or self-serving tendencies. Practicing empathy and considering other needs & different perspectives around us can help us navigate this energy!
May also be a heightened sense of justification or the need to do so.
This can manifest as a strong drive to take action to prove oneself, wether it’s family, social circles society beliefs which stem from the ego.
Unfortunately this energy can lead to a clashes of egos and conflicting desires in our personal lives if we’re not empathic to other needs and or different perspectives.
The opposing energy of Saturn RX in Aquarius – Mars & Venus in Leo (later joined by Mercury in Leo & Venus Rx in Leo at the end of the month) can highlight these certain tendencies within our friendships, workplace dynamics, and what we call our support system.
Maybe even bring forth moments of friction which can lead to realizations and illuminate underlying dynamics of our relationships/partnerships.
