back again with a fun Makeup related must-have entry!
This time around?
I’ve added a few items that I didn’t add on my previous “WANT TO BECOME A MAKEUP ARTIST? 20 PRODUCTS YOU’LL ACTUALLY NEED!” list which I feel are quite important and believe are essential!
So? If you’re a professional make up artist or aspiring make up artist, you might want to check out this list!
product reviews are always honest & fully independent not sponsored but thus could earn affiliate commissions from purchasing links on this page.
Starting this list with some sanitation:
As we know sanitation is has always been a must in the beauty industry but definitely in 2020; really reinforced this. Alcohol & disinfectant wipes are always loaded in my professional kit,
BUT I highly recommend mini scented hand sanitizers too!
I believe; not only does it set a nice vibe but also beats smelling like normal hand sanitizer when working on your client.
It’s essential to have a few scents that are favorable to the majority of your clientele. To keep it safe; I to stick to relaxing scents such as lavender, peppermint & or fresh linen.
Onto another sanitization item but can use used for just about anything in your profession kit?!Mesh Makeup Bag Portable Toiletry Bags 5 Piece – $13.99
Not sure if this even is talked about enough … but when using reusable beauty sponges? Normally these sponges consist of either being sprayed with setting sprays and/or water!
And if you’re a professional make up artist, there’s a good likelihood, you could be traveling with multiple damped beauty blenders!
Like any sponge, especially that is dampened and not dried thoroughly?!
You’re looking at a bacteria overload & mold!
Mega ewl.. and not very fun! ?
These mesh bags not only help with airing out your sponges, when traveling and after washing; but also ensure that sponges don’t get dirty and or etc!
And of course these mesh bags are also great for traveling, storing compacts powders and so much more!
Talking about sponges….Latex Free Paw-Paw set of 6 makeup sponges – $9.95
Listen… these paw paw sponges are probably if not THE softest and bounciest sponge I’ve yet to use.
Although there’s many sponges in the market from every shade and size but again by far?! These paw-paw sponges are my favorite.
Not only are these great for my kit & for my personal use; but you actually get 6 sponges for nearly half the cost of the common pink beauty sponge.
If you haven’t tried these?! I highly recommend you should give them a try!Bamboo Charcoal Oil Blotting Sheets – $13.99
Oil blotting sheets get no love… and they’re SO good to have handy for any professional makeup event!
I especially love having these on hand for male grooming especially before a powder touch up to avoid cakeyness and or cracking of the foundation/concealer as oil secretion can emphasize pore size and skin texture ?
These oil absorbing bamboo charcoal sheets are fabulous, convenient, easy to store, and also bring so many!
Add one in your professional kit, add one your traveling kit, add especially must have in a set bag!Small Personal Portable Fan – $11.99
Random but useful?! An electric portable fan!
Wether it’s to speed up the glam process when applying liquid/cream products, speed up the drying process when applying lashes and or just to have while working on a set?!
Having a fan handy will really change your whole life lol!!
All jokes aside?! When working with dancers, reality shows & or working an outdoor set? A portable electric fan is really a must have and also a Miami humidity lifesaver!
Root Cover Up – $34.99
I believe this is a pretty great addition to a professional makeup artist kit; even if you’re a makeup artist professional that does not necessarily style hair.
Could be some foundation and or any boo-boo to a hairstyle and a quick touch up to ensure your client is happy; is a win in my book!
I personally like these root cover up as the shades are very natural and so easy to apply?
*But in the occasion that you don’t carry these and you actually need to apply a quick hairline touch up? I find that eyebrow powders are a great alternative.
Chatting about brows a product that I believe isn’t chatted about enough and is a stable to my makeup artist kit
No doubt? This MAC Studio Chromagraphic Pencil is definitely a multi-use beauty item.
It’s not necessarily an eyeliner but much more of a creamier consistency a bit similar to creamy concealer.
Which i believe is great to achieve nice clean brows but you can also use this pencil to highlight high points of the face! A must have!
BOOM! THE END!
I hope you find these must haves list’s helpful & if you do try it out?!?
Let ya girl know!
