#flashback – I got the opportunity to work with Cristina pretty last minute! At the time? I was in out in Mexico traveling for work pero at that exact time I got the call? I was actually traveling back to the airport (ya’ know; normal airport shenanigans – running late – pending covid test … high energy & etc ha!) & plus I’m in Mexico not the states? Nerves? High!
Bueno while all this was going down? I received a call from a friend; checking if i was available to work the following day?
Normally due to traveling outside of the US, I would take a day to lay low (covid purposes) but in this case, the new PCR Testing law had just been passed; so I literally had my results of a current test (basically I was in the clear).
& for music video shoot? Didn’t know for who? pero I was already excited.
I mean the rush alone of checking back into the states, repack & restart the following day (my traveling work kit is completely different to my work kit back at home it’s quite condensed for traveling purposes.) to work a music video set (which normally consists of anywhere from 8 to 15 hour days) & it had been a bit since I worked a music video set; I was hella excited!!
(Music videos set’s are normally so much fun they’re high-energy, creative and pretty fast-paced).
Packing your kitfor a music video is also completely different too. You don’t know if there will be dancers involved & or extras … what kind of look they are going for? Being; I was on a flight & wasn’t able to bounce ideas for looks? I wanted to ensure I could cover all the aspects if necessary.
Essentially?! Bring the whole d**n kit/kits! ha!
BUENO…..
I totally overpacked no doubt ha for this particular music video! Not to mention; Christina loves makeup too & also has a cosmetic line/shop which at the time I had no clue about!!
So when I arrived? Not only did she have the chuchiest set up with her awesome makeup organizer & her glam/cosmetics goodies? She was also pretty prepped with her glam too!? Let me tell yal!!!! This gal knows how to glam! okayyy?!?
On this set; we were able to do three different glam looks!
Starting with a soft natural glam (grey sweater soft glam)which took place in a soft lighting bedroom vibe; wanted to ensure the glam was not only soft but pretty – fresh and glowly of course!
And as her legs were key-frame also in these shots too? Cristina has an awesome tan! I wanted to highlight & show that off; soooo they got some glow too!! Iconic London Setting Spray – “Glow” – $29.00
Huge fan of this product!
ThisIconic London Setting Sprayin the shade “glow” (product comes in two shades – warm being the tanner hue) is a beautiful setting spray which is meant to set glam – but I especially love using this product as a quick “refresher” to the skin (other than the face) exposed; as it gives a subtle soft glow to the skin without any glitter specks! It’s sets beautiful – so no need to worry about transfer. I really enjoy this product!
As the set day continued, so did the change of looks.
Keeping the changes soft & subtle which make all the difference. Adding some winged liner, defining the cheeks, change of lippie and extra glaze? Can make quite a difference.
Listen, I’m sure you’ve seen thisInglot AMC Gel linerjust about everywhere & for good reason! Since this gel liner hit my kit a few years ago? Ha! you’re girl hasn’t looked back! By the far; the darkest black gel liner I’ve ever used (before this product was fluidline – imagine that? by 5x darker) with the smoothest application and extremely waterproof.
pro tip: being this liner is so waterproof? make sure to build it up and or trace when applying winged liner – once this stuff is on? It’s on and it’s a b**tch to remove – seriously this stuff is WATERPROOF!Too Faced Cosmetics – Papa Don’t Peach – $30.00
To flush the skin and a product I never forget when using (as the smell is always a winner) Too Faced Cosmetics – Papa Don’t Peach blusher is such a sweet blusher (see what i did there ha). This blusher is more on a warm coral side, has a nice frost reflects – on the golden undertones hue & smells so yummy (peachy)! Can be used alone or can be a blush topper as well – which i love doing!Dior – Backstage Glow Face Palette – Glitz– $45.00
For the last look golden look – wanted to make sure the glow was a bit more on the vibrant side! Dior Backstage Glow Palette in Glitz not only on the face but also the body. Highlighting to give that BAM effect to targeted key placed areas! This palette has a beautiful warm deeper hue too which was gorgeous as a bronzer topper and also body bronzer!
Had so much fun on this set & so much fun working with Cristina! Her vibe is everything!
Cristina radiates such a positive light, her energy is pure warm & inviting, she’s fierce…what a voice?!? AND she’s so very sweet!
