So…. I just wouldn’t post traveling to Texas & post chuchi photos of downtown San Antonio & not chat about the glam? I mean the actual reason I went to Texas?! Ha! As always; listed below, the key products I used for this chuchi soft natural glam with a subtle hint of color!
????????
It had been a hot minute since I had seen this lovely lady & I’m so happy I got to work with her again! Not only is she beautiful on the outside but also on the inside too! Put me onto a few good reads, awesome insightful convos/perspective! Got my head thinking! (I live for this ha!)
So happy to glam out Alejandra Espinoza in Texas!
Like I have mentioned in my previous post; I really didn’t know what I was getting into when traveling to Texas. In reality I was pretty consumed by my own nerves but I also made sure that I had everything I needed in my kit.
I like to carry my professional make up kit on me (literally) while I’m traveling. Especially if there’s a connecting flight! I don’t like to risk any of my already limited makeup kit items getting lost or possibly getting destroyed any other way.
in theory, taking everything sounds nice perooo as a make up artist you always want to make sure that you take everything with you ha! Or maybe it’s OCD who knows?! Reality: you can’t so it takes a few amount of days of thinking …. breaking down the kit, making sure you take what you actually need and leave it behind what you are 80% sure you possibly won’t need.
I mean that is unless…. you got like; super fit arms and you’ve been to the gym haha! and don’t mind carrying over your head into the carry-on I unno maybe 35-40 lbs?!
Yeah…. your girl on the other hand wasn’t ready but luckily this is not the first time I’ve worked with Alejandra in the past; so I usually know the glam that she normally would gravitate towards.
For Alejandra, I customized my kit to be fresh and glowly. Including radiant luminous foundation options as well lots of nudes, champagnes soft eye shades, lots of glowly goodies and a few key color palettes (cause you just never know!).
We were working televised fundraiser; (TeletonUSA) a beautiful children’s rehabilitation institute televised by Univision. And Alejandra was hosting!
Side note: it’s very important to understand the kind of event that you’re working because although the make up of course is important we have to set a tone.
Alejandra wanted the glam to be fresh – natural & glowly andddd how it was a children’s event? We decided to go with a light wash of color on the lid. Playful, fun yet subtle!
Just my luck; before stepping out, literally the day I was leaving to Texas. I received my December BoxyCharm which included a mega chuch Amethyst (purple shades) Huda Palette which not only was the perfect size for traveling but also has 6 beautiful and pigmented shades! No coincidence, But this was the perfect palette for this event! .
This is how the glam turned out!
Get the look! Key products used; listed below!
Love using this MAC Strobe Cream when looking for a nice natural glowly glam! Beautiful to use on it’s own, as a pre-base and or mixed into foundation for a glowly finish. Used this product as a skin prep for a natural luminous look prior to foundation application.
Love using this Double Wear Foundation especially for glams that have to be very long wear (this was a live on TV event for over 12+ hrs). This foundation not only is long-wear, but is also full coverage but not cakey & still looks like skin. *Note- this foundation is on the matte side; that’s why the Strobe Cream is SO important.
Since I first tried these blushers,.. I fell in LOVE! So easy to blend, PIGMENTED AF & easy on the pocket $$$!
Loved using this Strawberry Drip blusher on Ale; these blushers give such a beautiful flush to the skin without moving around the foundation applied, Applied this blusher with a nice dense foundation brush (TNT 211 Foundation Brush – is my favorite brush to apply cream blushers) right onto semi dry foundation & concealer and set with a pressed compact highlighter.
To set all cream products without a chance of changing the shade or hue of the cream/liquid products applied; I love using RCMA No Color Powder. Not is the powder great to set, but is also great to have on set for touch ups as this powder really is no color and has no flash back.
To warm up the skin I used NARS Casino bronzing powder with a nice large fluffy dense brush and buffed about all over the face, This bronzer is on a warmer side & also has a slight shimmer. Used as a bronzer all-over not to define & contour. I love using a large brush opposed to a smaller brush for an overall natural finish.
In true Ade nature I always like to mix products lol but I feel like it makes the application look further more natural yet glazed. The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer is a beautiful light gold highlighter that shines to the gawdssss without any glittery specks and Dior’s Pink Glow is a stunning silver undertoned pink highlighter that is very reflective and also has no glittery specks either.
Bobbi Brown Cosmetics – Taupe Shadow Stick – $30.00
To define the crease and also is a beautiful base for shadow? Bobbi Brown Shadow Stick in shade Taupe is awesome! This shade is great for a natural look as well as it applies super easy, blends easy too but note* this product does dry pretty fast – so work quickly.
Huda Beauty – Obsessions Amethyst Palette – $27.00
As mentioned above; so happy to receive this beautiful Huda Beauty Amethyst Palette in my December BoxyCharm monthly basebox. It really came in so handy because this palette included 9 shades that really went well for this event. Packed on this beautiful light fuchsia, cool undertoned iridescent finish shadow (as pictured) with a flat shader brush straight onto the lid.
To finish off this glam, using a product that is a staple in my kit? L’Oreal Carbon Black mascara is if not my favorite mascara. It’s extremely dark and coats the lashes beautifully without weighing the lashes down.
