#SkipbackSaturday – Wait… is that even still a thing?
Let’s skipback to my first photo shoot this year since Covid-19!
And I mean “shoot-shoot” you know? Thankfully, I’ve had a few clients since this started off but I hadn’t actually worked a photoshoot since before all this started off in March! So when I mean “shoot-shoot” ha! I mean; getting to location, setting up (which currently now is a process in it’s self ), doing the actual makeup, sanitize everything, throw away disposables, test of out the look for lighting, on set up touch-ups kit, wind, rain.. Miami! haha fakkkkkkk you guys have no clue how much I live for this!
Luckily for me my first photoshoot back was with an amazing model/friend/entrepreneur/boss lady & mega talented Meech!
Meech is best known for doing amazing lashes & brows locally here in Miami. Fl. but also does makeup too! Which is always fun cause we chat about new makeup goodies & trends! Truth be told… when working with other makeup artists, I have to admit I do get a little nervous! You know us makeup artist’s ha! We like to have a certain look etc & let’s be extra real here … sometimes we could be just a bit particular haha!
But not with Meech, her energy is so awesome & the vibe was great! She was very much open for look suggestions! The theme for this shoot was flirtatious, classy, sexy yet chic! As the shoot was taking at her place, we were in no rush. That being said we decided to do a few outfit changes as well as 2 different glam looks!
To further ensure sanitation, I used a lot of Meech’s personal makeup items (she had great goodies) along with her own personal beauty blender.
Makeup Artist Tip: I’ve been requesting my clients to bring in their own beauty blender style sponges since Covid-19 has started, I always carry in my kit latex-free sponges & now sealed & sanitized per client. Although they are awesome, I love working with a great classic black beauty blender. 9 out 10 most ladies now at least have one at home you know!
For the first look 🤍
We went for a clean glowly (glazed) glam look! Kept the eyes on a soft smokey look – actually more like a soft eye with a soft smokey liner effect ha!
Meech has great skin so she made my job super easy & I really wanted to show that off through this glam!
Kept her skin pretty flushed using a current favorite go to Liquid Blusher NARS Liquid Blush in “Orgasm”
Topped with another NARS favorite that I’m obsessed with: “ORGASM X CHEEK PALETTE”
Defined & warmed her complexion with NARS Bronzing Powder in Casino.” Bronzing Powder Casino”
Cleary I’m a NARS chick ha! (Not sponsored BTW) Although NARS if you’re see this?! Hit me up hahah!!
Here’s how the glam turned out! 🖤
First set; shot indoors.
Second set; shot outdoors.
When I do a super glowly “glazed” glam? The body has to match too! I believe it looks pretty unrealistic if your face & cheeks are super glowly and then your chest and arms are flat? Um NO! In theory … if you’re naturally dewy, radiant and even “sweaty” it’d not just going to be your face. And if my client is showing legs? Yep they’re gonna get glow there too!
I always use these awesome Glow Diamond Powders! They are great! Have a great shimmer and I especially like that it’s loose shimmer powder! You can mix these babies with any mixing medium you would like!
On Meech I used a combo !
For the Second look 🤍
We wanted to have a little bit of color to the second glam. I wanted to still keep it fun, a slight bit bright but still have a sexy feel. I decided to use a palette that I really like! Alamar Cosmetics “REINA DEL CARIBE EYESHADOW PALETTE”
The color pay off on these shadows are quite amazing & the pigment?! Uffff ufff ufff !, This palette is quite unique because it does have a mixture of multiple different colors from shimmers & mattes. It’s a very versatile palette can be used to do multiple different looks!

Used the shades “Ceclia” to spicy up this glam with a fun teal/emerald/turquoise but also has a beautiful shine! Warmed up the shadow further with “Tropico” a beautiful matte warm burnt orange into the crease and of course used “La Costa” in her inner tear duct area (this shade is bomb for target highlighting on the face too).
Here a few more shots from the shoot!
