August 2020 Boxycharm unboxing & reviews.

Better late than never right?! Hey guys!! Back again with another BoxyCharm Unboxing! When my August monthly Boxycharm box came in; I was literally on the way out of my house, heading on a mini family road trip to Polk County (which is about 225 miles from Miami and I def will chat about on another post). Right on time too because I had just ran out of my travel size bronzer; and well … Boxy sent one over!; A full sized one actually Ha! #greattiming. Naturally I took my whole box with me haha and honestly what a save! I really liked it this box!

But … before I jump into my opinions haha, Let me show you guys what I got!

As always, Boxy Charm doesn’t disappoint! This box came in with 5 full size awesome products for only $25 bucks! A total steal really because I mean … it’s FULL SIZE products!

REAL HER – Definer Brow Pencil Retail: $16

This month I received super handy makeup product; REAL HER – Definer Brow Pencil (I mean lets be real here… you can’t have too many brow pencils). Got this pencil in shade “Eye am Inspiring- Dark Brown”. On god, since I received my box, I’ve been using this brow pencil every single day.

This shade is a deep brunette with neutral undertones. Not a reddish undertone, more on the neutral without being too ashy or gray. Perfect shade currently for me as I’ve dyed my hair the darkest brown possible recently lol! This is pencil is also waterproof! Mega Plus for me!

REAL HER – Definer Brow Pencil is quite thin making any brow application pretty easy. This pencil is great for anyone looking to achieve hair a natural like strokes. The texture is great and not waxy at all. Applies beautifully and blends great especially when using the spoolie on the opposite side. In micro tip size, is very comparable to Anastasia’s “Brow Wiz” $23.00 or Benefit’s “Precisely, My Brow Eyebrow Pencil” $24.00.

Aesthetica Cosmetics – Sunset Bronzer Retail: $24.00

Was so excited to receive this Aesthetica Cosmetics – Sunset Bronzer because I don’t remember getting a bronzer without a face palette in my previous Boxy boxes in quite some time! Truth be told I thought it was a highlighter at first haha! I mean Aesthetica Cosmetics has some REAL nice highlighters. Either way; as you can tell you on photo above, I really used this bronzer while I was on my road trip!

I really enjoy this bronzer for multiple reasons. For one, it’s a beautiful nice warm bronzer. Not too light neither too dark. A perfect soft warm undertone ideal for anyone looking to achieve a for natural “bronzy” effect. This Sunset Bronzer can definitely be intensified if need be (I would suggest to set your foundation or cream/liquid bronzer with Sunset Bronzer instead of powder to achieve a more intensified glam).

This bronzer is very easy to work with too! Blends like dream and doesn’t get patchy! Huge plus! Also has a very I mean very slight undertones of shimmer, I would say this bronzer is more on the matte side visually if anything. On another side note, this compact has a super nice side mirror sized mirror opposed to other brands. Great for your makeup bag for-sure!

Glamglow MOISTURETRIP Omega-Rich Face Moisturizer Retail: $55

Another item I was pretty excited to get in my box because I did see a few sneak peeks online a few charmers receiving it and well yiiiii me too!

Let’s start first off by the wonderful ingredients in this product. First and foremost this moisturizer is infused with a few great goodies; hemp seed oil, changa mushrooms, and vegan hyaluronic acid to name a few.

Moisturizing and Anti Aging Power House!

Hemp Seed Oil is amazing for hydrating the skin without clogging the pores, decreases skin inflammation great for people who have psoriasis eczema and dermatitis. Naturally hemp seed oil is loaded with vitamin F & vitamin E aiding the skin to stay hydrated and protected against different environmental factors.

Chaga Mushroom is a anti-inflammatory nutrient-dense superfood which carries a wide amount of vitamins minerals and nutrients. Because it is so high in nutrients, chaga mushroom helps restore your skin elasticity and also helps fight acne. This mushroom also contains a high melanin count naturally, so this helps diminish any age spots and sun spots on the skin.

Hyaluronic Acid is a sugar that is normally found in our skin and that we produce just like collagen and elastin. Of course just a collagen, as we age that diminishes too. This sugar helps our skin holds water weight and helps our skin to appear plump and dewy. With that being said hyaluronic acid is pretty much the daddy lol.

The consistency of this cream is a bit on the thicker side; although when applying it thins out very nicely. It is unscented which was a surprise to me because visually assuming it was going to smell like cucumbers lol. Glamglow MOISTURETRIP gets absorbed into the skin quite quickly too!

This cream alone is almost double the retail price as one Boxy box just saying…

MORPHE EYE GOT THIS BRUSH SET Retail: $12

This is a cute little brush perfect for the eyes well obviously …. “EYE GOT THIS” LOL!This set includes an oval shadow brush, blending crease brush which is really good, a mini blending brush and also an angled liner which is perfect for brows I’ve been using it since I got it haha! It’s really good!

Teddy Boy Eyeshadow Palette Retail: $28

Teddy Boy is a nice palette! I normally tend to not go towards taupe shadows but thanks to this palette I have to admit; I’ve been using more neutral shades lately ha! This palette has multiple shades including mattes and shimmers. After playing with this palette a few times (as you can tell) I would suggest to use a shadow primer or a sticky base to ensure you get the maximum color payoff.

Favorites Shades in the palette:

Simon: A pretty soft , matte (perfect transition shade) taupe..

Nigel: A nice, creamy pigmented off -white shadow (perfect to naturally highlight the brow bone or to have as an overall base color.

Graham: A rich matte neutral medium-dark brown shadow. (I’ve been especially using this color not only for brows but also to darken my crease color).
