September 2020 Boxycharm BASE BOX Unboxing, product reviews & looks.
So excited to share with you this month September Base Box Boxycharm unboxing, looks and of course my honest reviews! Got such awesome makeup goodies this month, I immediately started playing with all of them haha and tried my hardest to document some of the looks that I’ve done with this month box. As always if you guys are not subscribed to boxycharm …. let me just remind you that a base box is only $25 a month for 4-5 FULL sized makeup/skincare items monthly!

Now let’s get to the fun part!!
Here’s what I got in this month’s BoxyCharm!
When I originally opened my box and saw this item, I swear…. I really thought this was going to be some sort of lip balm or lip scrub. Then I took a real good look and realized it was eye cream haha and honestly I was very shocked and pleasantly surprised to there was an eye cream with vitamin C extracted from cherries. Genius!
I’ve actually used this Farmacy Cheer Up eye cream quite a few times and I genuinely really like it. The texture is very nice; it’s a very light cream but to the touch it almost feels a bit silky. It gets absorbed through the skin quite nicely and it hydrates the under eye area very well. I tend to not use eye creams just because I believe they are very overpriced moisturizers but this one I’ve really liked. Not exactly sure it is it has brightened my under-eye thus far but it definitely lay’s my concealer beautifully.
Also super nice, it doesn’t smell like cherries. ha! It actually doesn’t smell like anything at all it is 100% unscented, great for anyone who may be sensitive to fragrances.
I don’t know about you guys?!? but … I really enjoy receiving new brushes. These Luna Magic Brushes are so cute too!, the handles on the brushes are super fun! I mean look at them! They’re colorful! …. let’s be honest most brushes are usually black, so yeah! these are pretty fun! These luna magic brushes are very soft and as you can tell in the photos below I already used them haha & really enjoyed them!
So, since I’ve got this Hipdot Zion Eyeshadow palette; I’ve used it often …. and I mean often. I like that this palette has a good mixture of shades. Some nice pretty fall colors, pink and purples which are very much in season but I also like that they have nice warm colors and neutrals tones too that you can use for your everyday glam.
The quality in this Hipdot Zion Eyeshadow are okay, the shimmers for sure pack more of a punch. The mattes are nice but do kick up a bit of fallout so I would suggest to either prime in your lids with a sticky base before starting or have a good amount of some translucent powder under your eyes to catch the possible fallout.
Used the shades; Sandstone, Cannon , Grounded and Vibration for Warm ALL Matte eyeshadow look.
Used the shades; Wild River, Whisper and Mystery for this fun glam!
Used the shades; Sandstone, Mystery, Narrows, Majesty and Wild river for this glam!
Overall I really enjoy playing with this palette! Just remember to use a sticky base. I’ve been using the UNCAGED EYESHADOW Primer from Pretty Vulgar Cosmetics..
Side note: Pink Shadow has really been my thing this year ha!
So excited to receive this product in my box! Huda Beauty Duo pencil and liquid liner is so bomb! Honestly, the idea of joining a liquid liner and a very thin pencil liner… to me… MEGA genius! When you’re over 30 sometimes it’s a bit of a challenge for a sharp winged liner especially if your Botox isn’t fleekly feel me?! So getting into the inner tear duct can sometimes be a challenge! Let’s be real here… sometimes it can skip it can smudge etcccc…. so having the option of the pencil is really convenient and this is exactly what I used for most of the looks posted above.
The Huda Beauty pencil is quite thin, sharp and it is extremely black. Be careful to not over push the pencil out as it’s very pigmented so it seems to break easily. The liquid liner side is on a small yet sharp felt tip which also is SO black! LOVE. It’s perfect to tightline the lash line, for a sharp black wing, great also to smudge liner and apply eyeshadow on top!
Best of all, both huda beauty liquid and pencil liner are waterproof and I mean waterproof because… of course I decided to test it out... wash my hair and all kind of testing you know haha! Well … most of my makeup came off except the liquid liner! Now don’t get me wrong it wasn’t perfect… yes some did come off (not much) but I mean majority of it was still on there!
So, I always say I’m so excited ha…. But I really was so excited to get this because this Huda Beauty Melted Shadow was on my Naimies shopping cart which I haven’t checked out just yet haha yes and a few other shades! To get the shade I wanted “Private Jet” really is so dope!
The Matte shade on this Huda Melted Shadow “Private Jet” is absolutely beautiful. It’s almost like a mixture of Anastasia Orange Soda meets Soft Brown by Mac meets a deeper version of Makeup Geek. “Peach Smoothie”.
Dries completely matte but also dries a bit quick too… so much sure to work with this product fast!
As for the Shimmer side on this Huda Beauty Melted Shadow “Private Jet/Shimmering Sunset“, is so beautiful also. The applicator is different on this one; it’s more of a brush style applicator. I’m guessing it’s because the shade has a few glitter and shimmer specs. The glitter side dries and stays just as shimmery which is VERY nice!
Side note: Although the matte seems to be waterproof, the shimmer is not (my guess is it’s the formula) It does dry very nicely but be careful with over applying because it could flake.
Once again another amazing monthly boxycharm box! Honestly, when you sum up all the prices individually of each item in this box you totally WAY pass $25.
BoxyCharm is the real plug 🔌 !
Would love to know what you guys this month! Saw some goodies online and seems like everybody more or less got as a similar palette range!
